5.0 out of 5 stars A Masterwork on How to Write a Sequel to a Masterpiece!
This book is accomplished, well-written, true to the original, funny, romantic, and a true literary accomplishment in its own right. Amy Street has done what is nearly impossible to do — write a worthy successor to a masterpiece!
5.0 out of 5 stars In the Top 10%
I am an avid reader and have probably read by now over 100 P&P retellings or extensions. In my opinion, this one by Ms. Street is up there in the top 10% of the 100+ I have read.
5.0 out of 5 stars it reads like Austen with modern psychology
A very satisfying read! This book transitions seamlessly from Pride and Prejudice to a few years later, it reads like Austen with modern psychology, and it’s a great read – I can’t wait for the TV adapatation!
5.0 out of 5 stars Delightful and authentic
It is a tribute both to Jane Austen for creating the Bennet family and to Amy Street for developing the members so plausibly that the new novel works so well.
5.0 out of 5 stars A great read, totally recommend it
The writing is true to the original style and all the characters remain true to their Austen roots but at the same time the story is given a fresh, witty and modern approach – difficult to explain….just buy it and read it and you will understand and I am sure enjoy it as much as I did
